There are few phones that you can say stand out each year, and the Samsung Galaxy Note series devices have had a hallow around them since they were first released. These stylus totting phones have become a mainstay for productivity and given the phone a cult following each year. Between a high-end build quality, a great design, and features which no other phone offers, the Note series devices are only second to Samsung S-Series devices in innovation and popularity.  If you are considering buying refurbished Samsung Notes, then you’re at the right place. We are going to look at the most notable recent note series devices. Since some time has passed since their release, we will also assess whether they are great ideas for refurbished phones. Stick around until the end to find out more.

Here are the key facts about the Samsung Galaxy Note series devices of recent times.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10

Since the original Samsung Galaxy Note device, we have come to expect every note device to have a stylus. That said, the modern ones are not a rudimentary pointing as they used to be. Their functions have stepped up and, as a whole, justified the need for phablets when smartphone screens have become just as big. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 came with an attractive size, amazing screen-to-body ratio, flat panels all around, and a sweet hole-punch camera at the front. The sleek design is attention-grabbing, but it also had the performance to match. It struck the sweet spot between the size and the specs, which means that the 6.3-inch display just made it one of the most compact big phones you can buy.

Both the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 plus are powered by a Snapdragon 855, which at the time was one of the fastest chips on an android device.  The S-pen came with more air actions, gestures, and features, and they are all intuitive and natural to the device.  The battery is 3500mAh on the basic Note 10 and 4300mAh on the Note 10 Ultra, but both deliver almost equal battery life.  In general, despite dumping the headphone jack, it was an impressive phone at the time, and it is still a great device to have now. Samsung has discontinued it, but you can still find plenty of them as refurbished devices which will still receive updates way into the future.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20

The Galaxy Note 20 is still the phone to get if you want a phone with a stylus.  Of course, the Galaxy S21  supports the stylus, but it is more of an afterthought, and you have to get a separate carrying case for it.   This basic Galaxy Note 20 does not have the 120Hz of the Galaxy Note 20 Plus, but it has the performance to make it worth your consideration. It comes with 12GB RAM with either128GB/512GB storage powered by the Snapdragon 865 plus chip.  At the back is a 12MP Main, 64MP telephoto, and 12MP ultrawide camera, and at the front is a 10MP shooter. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is a brilliant phone, but to be fair, the starting price of AU$1,300 is way out of reach for many people, even those who religiously update their phones every year. Luckily, they can be found as refurbished devices that are much cheaper and perform just as well as new unboxed devices.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

The Galaxy Note 20 ultra is the giant of the range, with a 6.9-inch display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The huge display has QHD+ resolution, but the phone also features Samsung’s 108MP camera with great autofocus. The S-pen takes advantage of the large screen real estate and is very responsive—some even agree that it works better than pen and paper.  The design is pretty close to that of the Galaxy Note 10, but it has a cleaner front display with just a hole punch for the front camera.  There is a lot to look up to, but the highlights are in its performance. Is it powered by the snapdragon 865+ chip or the Exynos 2100 chip, but you also get plenty of storage and 12GB RAM to go with it?  It supports fast wireless and reverse wireless charging and has an under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Samsung continues to update the Note series range annually, and we expect that they will continue to be amazing devices. The good news is when new devices come out, the older ones become more affordable to anyone who always admired them.  The Note series devices have always been the pinnacle of phone productivity, but it is the amazing specs tied to the function which make it a great value to buy. Whether you want a Note 10 series or Note 20 series device or any note device for that matter, you can get a refurbished Samsung Note that will fit your budget range.
