Software Testing is an imperative part of the software development and deployment process, and it continues to be a rage by the second. It is crucial for the software testing lead to stay updated on the latest techniques, testing tools and frameworks, and be aware of the upcoming projects. To train the team and update their knowledge information as well is crucial in the competitive market. Maintaining a connection with the client to stay connected with the evolving needs and address them as they appear is also the task for the software testing lead. Test environment is a mandatory factor for the smooth functioning of the test cycle; to determine, carry out5 procurement, control, and optimize the test environment is one of the tasks of the testing lead. An uninterrupted relation with the development team is also imperative because the testing and development goes hand in hand; any loops there can affect the entire project costing much more time and resources in the longer run. 

After the basic framework is done and dusted with, the software testing lead makes sure to create and maintain the required test automation framework. An overall project administration is then carried out to ensure a healthy test management system. The administration of bugs as they appear and getting them resolved by the concerned team, and then retesting the identified and resolved bugs to avoid any loopholes or glitches in the final product is also the role of the software testing lead. 

The overall role of the software testing lead is that of glue holding the team together and getting them to work in a manner that the final product is smooth and completed in time. Timeliness in testing is a crucial aspect, and with the dynamics of the game changing so rapidly it becomes even more important. The software testing lead is the backbone of the testing team ensuring the body keeps standing tall.
